Aurora over Stuðlagil Canyon
Aurora over Stuðlagil Canyon
$900.00
The most breathtaking feature of Stuðlagil Canyon is its basalt columns formed from volcanic activity. The pillars are hard stone, but in places they curve as if they were malleable as playdough. A river runs through the canyon, but is only a cold winter away from freezing and being as still as the stone, at least on the surface. The reflection of the Aurora in the water turns the liquid into light, or the light into water. The vertical bands of light in Aurora echo the vertical pillars of the canyon.
