Community Events

Please come join my free events designed to build community, and provide play and solace and strength to everyone! These events are free but space is limited, so RSVP is required. Donations are always welcome.

Movement Medicine for LGBTQIA2S+ Teens

All queer teens are welcome at this movement class, a safe place for young people to move, learn about, and celebrate their bodies. I will tailor the class to the interests of who shows up, but topics will include tap, ballet, contemporary, improv, stretching/strengthening, mindfulness, yoga, and self-defense. Leave feeling stronger, more powerful, more capable, more knowledgeable about your body, and absolutely glorious about who you are!

Women’s Stretching and Strengthening Empowerment

A safe space for female-identifying people to move together, to strengthen our bodies, to stretch into our emotions, to increase our body awareness, and to enjoy the community of other women. It's a stretching and strengthening class, but it's also a rebellion - from the idea that growing older necessarily means "letting your body go", from the idea that feminine is weak, from the idea that other people control our bodies.

Donate Fabric for “Use It Up Lafayette!” Quilt

I’m honored to have received a Public Arts Grant from the City of Lafayette Public Art Committee. My project is a giant quilt, and I need your help!

In the spirit of environmental sustainability, making do with what we have, and building community, I’m making a quilt (similar to the one pictured here) that uses fabrics donated by the residents of Lafayette and features the quote “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” Our world requires us to make do with less and to be more creative about how we discard unneeded items. We have an abundance of what we need already in front of us!

Click here to read the requirements for submitting fabric. Click here to access the donation form — print it out, fill it out, and return it with your fabric donation!
